busy drowning!

One of me in SL

This is "me"

Just a bit busy drowning at the moment – and here was I thinking I had things under control – huh! Now trying to catch up on a few things, like chatting to you lot. I haven’t had a lot of time for looking around but a few things have caught my eye as I’ve dashed past.

Have any of you heard of Memrise? I found a post about it on TNW. It’s a new website which supposedly helps you learn things like languages – not too sure about that but it is a bit of fun. I do think that people who have studied at university though should realise that learning is more than just memorising things.

For those of you who are thinking of doing your PhD here is a poster from Carol Haigh. It’s about the stages you go through when you undertake this type of study – have a look and have a laugh 🙂

Here is a post from the Educational Technology Guy blog. If you are looking for something to use for taking notes and keeping track of them, look no further. David Andrade has pulled together 10 of these apps for you to choose from.

Finally, I don’t know if I have provided this link for you before but it’s well worth repeating. The LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) run a fantastic blog. One of the things they have created is their, “The LSE Impact Blog’s new guide to using Twitter”. Scroll down the page a little and download this pdf guideline (I have already asked them if it’s ok to use it) – really good advice.
